Music BLOG 3

Every weekend, my family and some friends of ours go out boating. We ride around and go have fun, while listening to various music. But when we dock out at Peanut island, there are TONS of boats. It's quite interesting to hear what everyone is listening to on their boats. You can here a huge difference in peoples tastes of music. If you walk around, you'll hear Rap, R&B, Rock, Metal, Dubstep, Country, Jazz... any music you can think of, it's out there! Music helps make boating and relaxing on the water a far more pleasurable and exciting experience.

There's not much like flying 60+ Mph down the intercostal, flying over huge waves while listening to your favorite tunes! To me, music becomes more appealing at times when your'e not listening to it on your iPod, but on a stereo for say. When I listen to older tunes and Rock & Roll for example, I get a sense of power or that I am actually there with the musicians. The tunes just flow through me and make the music come to life. I definitely know that there are some people out there that go absolutely crazy if one of their favorite songs comes on the radio. You can see people dancing to the song, play the air guitar, pretend they're the singer, and even be a drummer for the band! Music affects people in ways, shapes, and forms that we just may never truly understand.

    Music Blog 2

Hello world! Well today I was thinking to myself of how awesome it has been growing up listening to such a HUGE variety of styles of music. Throughout my life, I've been hearing the music that my parents have played since I was a young kid and it has seriously impacted the music that I love to this day! It may be shocking for someone my age to say this but I love older rock and roll! The true rock and roll that I listen to is back from the 60's 70's and 80's. My two favorite bands from the 1960's are the Rolling Stones and The Beatles. The Rolling Stones started a huge style of playing ranging from hard rock to songs that are more mellow and even have choirs in them! Here are some of my favorite songs from the Stones: Gimme Shelter, I Can't Get No Satisfaction, Jumping Jack Flash, Miss You, Paint it Black, Sympathy for the Devil, and You Can't Always Get What You Want. Playing these songs really get you a sense of what the band was about, as well as get you ADDICTED to their music!

THE BEATLES were an iconic rock and pop band that has shaped many styles of music today. The members of The Beatles were Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison. These four young men were so loved by fans and were the craze of girls across the globe! The band was unbelievably famous back in the day and still is to this day. People would come from all over the world to see this English band put on a great show. The Beatles attracted many girls and guys of all ages from their music, even to their looks! They are essentially one of the most famous and recognized bands across the world to this day. The band was just unstoppable! They made record after record and selling platinum and double platinum albums left and right! The Beatles made many adoring fans all around the world that still love the band to this day. Their music has inspired many new artists and is still played by people of all ages! They had so many good songs that there is just too many to list. The Beatles will forever be known and listened to by people all around the world.

    Music Blog 1

This is my first blog so lets see how it goes! To me, music is a beautiful art that many have created and taken to the extreme giving many people great emotion. It has been around throughout multiple  centuries and even millenniums! Music has brought people together from all across the world to even see one musician perform! I love going to concerts to see bands play and I have to say, they really know how to bring a crowd together. People of all different races, backgrounds, social statuses will come to see their favorite bands around to see a concert. Music is very much an entire lifestyle for many people! It's just as if the music connects to the listeners and really gives them a sense of joy or happiness. Music can cause people to have many different emotions from depressed to being ecstatic, it all just depends on what style of music that person is listening to. This art has really made itself a huge part in our global society. Ever since music was invented way back when, it has shaped cultures and backgrounds throughout the world!

Music is a very personal ordeal to my family and me. My dad's father used to be a professional saxophone player back in the 50's to early 70's, bringing his style of jazz all around the United States. From what my grandmother tells me, he could really please a crowd! I've heard dozens of stories of how he could create a great mood at his venue and how much of a blast he had doing it. My father, growing up as a kid, was always playing his drums. Going around the United States with his dad many times, he saw many famous musicians that showed him a new style of playing the drums. This influence he received as a child still comes out when he plays the drums now a days! He loves to play to many jazz grooves, rock beats, and songs from his favorite band... The Dave Matthews Band.  My dad almost went professional on the drums, but tragedy struck and his father passed away. He then had to go work, leaving him with less time to play on the drums. But still to this day, he still keeps plugging away on the drums getting better and better at every performance. Later on, I will begin to express how both my grandfather and father's music lives helped influence me, in what would become the start of my musical career! Music brings everyone together and creates a common good in our society!
